Trial Allotment

A trial allotment will be published before the closure of registration in the profile of the candidate, to give an idea about the chances of getting admission to a Programme at a particular college, based on the options registered by the candidate. The trial allotment does not guarantee admission to the candidate.

First Allotment

After the trial allotment and the period earmarked for revising options, the first allotment will be published in the website on the date to be notified. Candidates can check the details of allotment in the “Allotment” link provided in their profile. The candidates who get allotment have to remit the University fee as per the procedure mentioned in clause 9.3 and ensure their seat, and those who fail to remit the fee in time will not be considered for further allotments. The candidates will have to follow the notification of the University with regard to the date of admission in the college concerned.

On securing first allotment, the candidates have to remit the University admission fee mentioned through online mode (e-payment) only in the ‘Allotment’ page of valid applicant’s homepage in the website (http://admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in). A printout of the payment receipt should be taken and the same should be kept safely and be submitted to the Principal at the time of admission. The candidate without the payment receipt will not be allowed to join the college. The candidates should keep a copy of the payment receipt. It will be required for further allotments, if any.

Tempoary Admission

Candidates can opt for temporary admission in colleges upto 3rd allotment. They will be given an extended time for remitting the fee applicable to the programme / institution till this period. Such candidates, Have to submit the original certificates and the receipt of University admission fee. They can choose whether to take temporary or permanent admission and the same need to be assured by the Principal. The admission, whether permanent / temporary will be given in the admit memo issued to the candidates. This provision is not applicable from 4th allotment and it is compulsory to take permanent admission in the college by remitting the requisite fee. If they are satisfied with any of the allotments, they can take permanent admission by remitting the requisite fee.

Documents to be submitted

Candidates should produce all the following original documents along with the online application print out at the time of admission to the colleges/centres concerned.

III.Secondary School Leaving Certificate

IV.Qualifying Degree/ PG certificate and of higher qualifications, if any.

V.Mark Lists of qualifying Degree Examination/ Grade Card(All Semester/year with cumulative Grade card)

VI.Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate.

VII.Nativity, Non-creamy layer and Community Certificate for those who claim weightage or reservation benefit.

VIII.Experience Certificate in Form IV of KER for claiming admission under Teacher’s quota and for giving weightage for teaching experience. These certificates should be signed by the Head of School and countersigned by AEO/DEO.

IX.Equivalency Certificate from the Kerala University in the case of double or triple main candidates and students who passed their degrees through distance education from Universities outside Kerala and those who obtained regular degrees with different nomenclature.

X.Any other certificates from the competent authorities for the claim of admission under any specific quota that is Sports/NCC/Differently Abled Persons / Linguistic Minority/Defense personnel etc. if applicable.

XII.A certificate from the Head Master stating that the teacher has applied through proper channel for eligible leave to undergo B.Ed. programme should be produced.

Verification of Documents

The Principals of the colleges/Course Director of the Teacher Education Centres shall be personally responsible for the verification of original documents and satisfaction of the correctness of the documents/records produced by the candidate, at the time of seeking admission in the College/Centres. The candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed at the time of online Kerala University –B.Ed.

The eligibility of the candidates for the course in all respects shall be confirmed by the Principal/Course Director before the closing date of admission

Kerala University BEd First Allotment 2020

Kerala University will be publishing the Kerala University BEd First (1st) allotment result 2020 after the trial allotment. The candidates who got an allotment in the first allotment result can download the allotment memo and take admission within the allowed dates as per the information in the allotment memo. The Kerala University BEd 1st allotment 2020 will be published on www.admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in.

The Bachelor of Education Programme generally known as B Ed, is a professional programme that prepares Teachers for Upper Primary or Middle Level (Sixth to eighth), Secondary Level (class IX , X) and Senior Secondary Level (Class XI, XII). Govt. of Kerala decided to implement the revised regulation of NCTE to enhance the duration of B.Ed. pro-gramme as 2 academic years, with effect from 2015 admission onwards.

The B.Ed. programme shall be of duration of 2 years with 200 working days in each year, exclusive of the period of examination and admission. The programme of study shall be by regular attendance for the requisite number of lectures and practical training.

Starting from this year (2020-21), the admission to the B.Ed. Degree Programme in Teacher Education Centres, Government College, Aided & Unaided Colleges affiliated to the Kerala University shall be made through online Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Admissions are made by respective colleges as per the rank list prepared by the University on the basis of Marks obtained in Qualifying Examination. This Online admission process will provide the candidates with an opportunity of obtaining admission to any of the Colleges/ Centres of the University of his/her choice on the basis of merit. All candidates who desire to obtain admis-sion for B.Ed.

Programme in Teacher Education Centres and B.Ed. Colleges affiliated to Kerala University should compulsorily register through online before the closure of the registration, irrespective of the category to which he/she belong
