CMAT 2021 Details

New Delhi : National Testing Agency (NTA) have announced that the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2021 will be held on March 31st 2021. The Authority have also announced that the admit card will be released on March 24th 2021. All the candidates can download the Admit Card from the official website soon once the admit card is released. If the candidate have not taken the admit card the candidate will not be able to enter the examination hall.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level examination that is held every year. The Examination is managed by National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2020. The Examination is being held for admission to various professional management courses such as PGDM, MBA, PGCM, Executive PGDM, etc. All the AICTE approved institutes and universities will consider the CMAT scorecard for admission.

CMAT-2021 will be conducted by NTA as three hour entrance Examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode to evaluate the candidates’ ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness, for admission to the Management Courses in the Academic Session 2021-22. The participating Institutes of CMAT-2021 are the Institutions which will be accepting the CMAT Score.

NTA does not verify the information provided by the candidates during online registration and hence candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per AICTE norms.

NTA has no role in counseling for admission to the Management Programmes.Candidates must apply separately to the desired CMAT-2021 participating Institutions with the CMAT Score 2021. Thereafter, each Participating Institutions will release their respective cut off CMAT Scores which a candidate should meet to get qualified for admission to that particular Institution. Once qualified, the candidate will have to comply with the selection procedure of that particular Institution,which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate’s performance in GD & PI.

The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to their satisfying the eligibility conditions.

The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on Date,timing and discipline as indicated in their Admit Card.

No candidate will be allowed to appear at the Examination centre, on Date and timing other than that allotted to them in their Admit Card.

In case candidates are unable to download Admit Cards from the website, they may approach the Help Line between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signatures shown in the Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the Help Line between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. In such cases, candidates would appear in the Examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make correction in the record later.

Instructions to Candidates

a. Candidates must bring the following documents on the day of Examination at the test centre. Candidates who will not bring these document will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

i. Print copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA website

ii. One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form)for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at the Centre during the Examination

iii. Any one of the authorized Govt photo IDs (original,valid and non-expired),viz.PAN card / Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card

iv. PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority,if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.

b. The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the Examination so as to complete the registration formalities well before the time of exam.

c. Registration desk will close 90 minutes prior to the examination. Candidates shall not be permitted to enter in the Examination Centre after 07:30 A.M for first shift and 01:30 P.M. for second shift.

d. The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow them strictly.

e. Candidates should take their seat immediately after opening of the Examination hall on their allotted seat. If not they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Rooms/Halls. The NTA shall not be responsible for any delay.

f. Any candidate found to have changed room/hall or the seat on his/her own other than allotted would be considered as a case of Unfair means and the candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted.

g. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for entry in the Examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the valid Admit Card shall not be allowed to enter the Examination centre.

h. The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on the computer is as per the opted Subject Code/Discipline indicated in the Admit Card. In case, the subject of question paper is other than the opted paper, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned.

i. Candidates are not allowed to carry any baggage inside the Examination Centre. NTA will not be responsible for any belongings stolen or lost at the premises.

j. Candidate shall appear at their own cost at the Centre on Date and time as indicated in their Admit Card issued by the NTA.

k. No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned, will leave his/her seat or Examination Room/Hall until the full duration of the paper is over. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as instructed by the Centre Superintendent/Invigilators.

l. Candidates should not be in possession of any material listed in the list of prohibited material

m. All calculations/writing work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the centre in theExamination Room/Hall and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.

n. The candidate must sign and paste the photograph on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place

o. The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the NTA with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of Unfair means will be dealt with as per rules.

All the candidates are requested to download the admit card from the official website and the candidates without the admit card will not be able to write the exam and enter the examination hall

Answer Key of CMAT 2021

The NTA will display Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website: cmat.nta.nic.in, with a Public Notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 1000/-per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.

Only paid challenges made during stipulated time through key challenge link will be considered.

The NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained. NTA will not inform the Candidates individually about their challenges.

The subject experts will examine all the challenges received and then a final answer key will be displayed and declared.

The result will be compiled on the basis of the Final Answer Key declared. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after Declaration of Result of CMAT-2021 will be entertained.

How to Check NTA CMAT 2021 Answer key

Candidates can download the CMAT 2021 Answer key that would be released by National Testing Agency so that the candidates can cross check the answers with the correct answers prescribed by the authority. Declaration of Results

The result will be compiled based on Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after Declaration of Result of CMAT-2021 will be entertained. The raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the Result of CMAT-2021. No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their Score Cards from the website: cmat.nta.nic.in only.

There is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totaling of the result/score and no query in this regard will be entertained. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an Examination conducting body and will provide CMAT Score 2021. The NTA does not collect the information regarding total number of seats available in the Institutions and reservation criteria followed by the Institutions.

Rules for Tie Breaking

  • A National Merit Ranking (All India Rank) will be arrived based on the Score secured against Total Score. In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking will be done on sectional scores considered in the order of: -Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness.

  • Candidates having same score would be given the same Merit, and the Merit number would be increased by the same number i.e. if there are two candidates at Merit 2, Merit 3 would not be awarded to the next candidate but Merit 4 would be given.

About CMAT 2021

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to Management Programme(s) in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.

Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NTA is conducting this Test since 2019.

Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, which was earlier covered under UPSEE, are required to apply for the CMAT – 2021, since the Score Sheet of CMAT – 2021 shall be used for admission to the MBA Course in AKTU affiliated Colleges/Institutes in the Academic Year 2021-22.
